Douglas County's 10th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

My name is Ron MacLachlan, I am the founder and the president of Pro Police Rally Colorado.

On Sunday, April 27th, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, we will host Douglas County's 10th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day at the fairgrounds in Castle Rock, featuring live music, speakers, vendors and food.

The goal of this event has always been to strengthen the relationship between the law enforcement community and the community it serves.

In 2015, when this adventure began, Douglas County had the highest rate of teenage suicide per capita in the state of Colorado. I am pleased to report that this is no longer the case; however, there is still much more to address regarding our youth. The rise in fentanyl addiction and related fatalities, along with the persistent issue of child sex trafficking throughout our state, is alarming and must be confronted collectively—not as isolated individuals or separate organizations, but as a united community. This collaborative approach will help alleviate the burden on our law enforcement agencies, which are already stretched beyond capacity.

Personally, I cannot think of a better way to show appreciation for our law enforcement community and strengthen the relationship between them and the community they serve than by working together toward a common goal: the well-being of our youth.

By uniting community leaders involved in programs addressing teenage suicide, fentanyl and other drug addictions, as well as child sex trafficking, we can form an alliance that ensures the safety of our youth. In time, this initiative can expand beyond Douglas County, creating a safe haven throughout the state where young people can come together and receive guidance.

By collaborating, we create an additional opportunity to appreciate the men and women in law enforcement.

The last ten years have been an incredible gift, allowing me to be a part of this process here in Douglas County. Thank you.

To whom it may concern:

I am Ron MacLachlan, the founder and president of pro police rally Colorado a nonprofit organization established in 2015.

On September 15th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in Casper at Washington park we will be hosting Wyoming's First Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

Supporting the men and women of our law enforcement community I believe to be a worthy cause I also believe that a community is only as strong as is most tenuous relationship.

There are three truths, that I believe are universal.

Everybody wants a safe place to live their life and raise their family.
Everybody would like to have a job that they enjoy that not only takes care of their needs but allows them to put something aside for their wants.
And I have never met a parent they did not want more opportunities for their children which they had for themselves.

To support the men and women in law enforcement we must find a way to “Lighten Their Load”.

The resources needed for such an endeavor would include rehabilitation centers, mental health counseling, food and housing shelters, trade schools, educational programs to start.

By helping those in our community that need the help the most find light at the end of their own personal tunnel they will be less likely to be involved in a situation that would require law enforcement and we will be “Lightening their Load”. This I believe will create a healthier and stronger relationship with both our law enforcement community and the community in which they serve.

Guys, I realize that the best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago and the second-best time to plant a tree is today. Now we have a short amount of time to get this put together but we will have a lifetime to cultivate this crop. Hey Guys,

So, looking forward to seeing all of you on July 16^th for Colorado’s 9^th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

Our men & women in Law Enforcement work tirelessly and just a moment of gratitude may mean so much to them.

We are a bit behind the eight-ball with this event.

The Office of Special Events has taken over the permitting process and are now demanding not only a fence but this year they are insisting that we put up a double fence with a 12-foot mote between the two fences.

To overcome this newest obstacle, I am going to need some help. Please go to the web page (pprco.org) to get a T-shirt or hit the donation page. Every bit helps. This “Free” event does come with a price.

Colorado's 8th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

The Event has been canceled!

It is with much sadness that I must cancel Colorado's 8th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Celebration.

After completing all of the requirments and payments associated with this event, DPD demanded that I have the park fenced last Friday. I did reach out to fencing companies and on Monday I was told that there was simply not enough time to accomplish the task.

I have yet to figure out how to add time to a clock let alone a calander.

Wednesday afternoon I let go of this event with confermation that our historical rights to the venue would remain intact.

Unfortuatly, I also recieved news of Anti-Police Anarchists that are forming to march against this years event.

Please get this information out so that we may prevent harm to any of our Patriots.

Again, my sincerest apology for not finding a way.
