Colorado’s 12th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

Saturday July 18th from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, at Acacia Park in Colorado Springs.

From its inception in 2015, the goal for this event has always been to strengthen the relationship between the Law Enforcement community and the community in which they serve.

For the first time since July of 2015 Colorado’s Law Enforcement Appreciation Day will not be held at the Civic Center park in downtown Denver.

Moving the event to Colorado Springs I believe gives us the opportunity to have a peaceful celebration where both our citizens of this great state as well as our Law Enforcement community can come together and enjoy an afternoon in the park.

The action plan for this event will be focused on recruitment for both our Law Enforcement community as well as our Military community.

Everybody wants a safe place to live their life and raise their families, and these are the men and women that allow that to happen whether they're boots on the ground are on our soil or someplace else.

The attrition rate in the state of Colorado for Law Enforcement is high, putting an extra toll on the men and women of Law Enforcement and this day is where they can relax with their families, hear some music, get a bite to eat and mingle with the communities that they selflessly protect and serve.
